Fónta Teo, a company which specialises in supplying stitcher heads, components and wire for wire stitcher machines, today announced its expansion in An Sean Phobal (Old Parish) in the Waterford Gaeltacht. The company has recently increased its workforce from two to seven people and has further plans to develop its business in the Gaeltacht.
Fónta Teo supplies specialist wire stitching components to machine manufacturers, printing companies and bookbinders throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. Acknowledged as experts in high speed wire stitching technology, Fónta Teo works with machine manufacturers, dealers and end-users in the printing, packaging and industrial fastening industries. Over 90% of Fónta’s business is in exports and the company also has a staffed office in Cairo, Egypt. The company trades under the names Deluxe Stitcher International (wholesale), Binderee.com (retail) and WCJ Worldwide (wire sales).
Fónta Teo, which was established in 2004, has seen a large increase in demand for its products and services from print companies in Africa, Asia and Russia in recent times, and saw the need to expand its operations and offer a wider product range and specialist service.
Announcing its expansion plans, John Finn, Director of Fónta Teo said, “The business was growing and we required a larger premises that would allow us to expand. We approached Údarás na Gaeltachta and they provided us with the new premises on the Údarás na Gaeltachta Industrial Estate in An Sean Phobal. This new facility allows us to focus on growing our business. We want to extend the services we offer and increase our product range. We have a number of new products which we plan to develop and, in addition, we can now provide a maintenance and repair service. We are particularly pleased to be able to offer a high-quality product range together with a fast service response to our Irish customers at ultra-competitive prices. We are delighted with our facility here in An Sean Phobal and this expansion will sustain the company going forward as we develop new products and provide a higher level of service to our varied customers.”
