Opportunities for graduates

Údarás na Gaeltachta are offering opportunities for graduates. For the second year in a row, we are offering a two-year employment contract, which includes a Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma from Atlantic Technological University, in partnership with Údarás na Gaeltachta. Ten places are available on this programme, which is open to graduates of all disciplines, including business, technology, accounting, planning, project management, science, social science and communications.

Successful applicants will receive professional experience across various departments within Údarás na Gaeltachta throughout the duration of their two-year contract. Those participating in GAIRM will have the choice of being based in any one of our Regional Offices – na Forbacha i nGaillimh, Gaoth Dobhair i dTír Chonaill, Béal an Mhuirthead i Maigh Eo, Daingean Uí Chúis i gCiarraí agus, Baile Mhic Íre i gCorcaí.

Designated Postgraduate Diploma (NFQI Level 9)

  • This partnership between Údarás na Gaeltachta and Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Galway has developed a Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma to offer to graduates.

Why work for Údarás na Gaeltachta?

The primary objective of Údarás na Gaeltachta is to preserve and strengthen the Irish Language as a living language, as well as passing it on to the next generation. The state agency is responsible for the economic, social and cultural development of the Gaeltacht. Údarás na Gaeltachta achieves this through funding enterprise development and employment projects, as well as supporting community, cultural and language initiatives.

Requirements:

All applicants must be fluent in Irish and hold a NFQI Level 8 to degree level. Applications are also open to those with fluency who will soon have their degree.
