Údarás na Gaeltachta welcomes the decision made by the Department of Social Protection to grant an additional TÚS scheme to the Gaeltacht. The TÚS scheme provides suitable short-term work opportunities for those who are unemployed and can employ up to 20 participants. This TÚS scheme will be located in the Donegal Gaeltacht, where there are two TÚS schemes already in place. Participants for TÚS are identified by the Department of Social Protection.
The position of supervisor for this scheme has been advertised and the successful candidate will supervise the programme in Cloich Cheann Fhaola, Na Dúnaibh, Fanaid and An Tearmann. He / she will be responsible for the promotion and administration of the scheme including the supervision of its participants.
