Údarás na Gaeltachta welcomes the announcement this afternoon by the Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh, T.D., that an additional €1 million will be made available to Údarás na Gaeltachta’s capital budget in 2016, which increases the capital allocation to €6.687 million.
Steve Ó Cúláin, CEO of Údarás na Gaeltachta, said “The provision of this additional funding will augment Údarás’s enterprise, development and employment creation programme. There are quite a number of new businesses enquiries in the pipeline at the moment and this increase in capital will allow us to support those projects. We are very grateful to the Minister of State, Joe McHugh T.D. for his efforts in securing this additional funding for the Údarás at a time when funding sources are under such strain.”
