Údarás na Gaeltachta to make planning application for Whiskey Distillery in Carna, Co. Galway

Údarás na Gaeltachta are to lodge a planning application with Galway County Council for a whiskey distillery, shop, café, tasting bar and heritage centre, on behalf of Drioglann Iarthar na Gaillimhe Teoranta at Páirc Ghnó Charna, Roisín na Maithniach, Carna, Co. Galway.

Údarás na Gaeltachta believe the new facility will greatly enhance the local area’s tourism appeal and that it will enable the team behind the distillery to develop an excellent product and a first-class visitor experience in the Iorras Aithneach area. This tourist attraction which will also serve as a valuable asset for the local community.
