Údarás na Gaeltachta Apprentice Scholarship Scheme Open for Applications

The deadline for the Údarás na Gaeltachta Apprentice Scholarship Scheme is fast approaching. Applications close Friday,  27 March 2026.

Údarás na Gaeltachta Apprentice Scholarship Scheme provides more than 40 scholarships to the value of €2000 each, to registered scheme participants and offers  the opportunity to develop skills and achieve academic recognition as a registered Apprentice.

The Apprentice Scholarship Scheme supports Gaeltacht candidates who are fluent in Irish and enables them to achieve a qualification in one of the trades recognised by the Apprenticeship Council.

This includes Trade Apprenticeships and New Generation Apprenticeships. The full list of Apprenticeships is available at www.apprenticeship.ie

The Apprentice Scholarship Scheme is advertised twice yearly during the Spring and Summer period. 15 industries come under this scheme, with over 70 apprenticeships associated with them, all recognised by the Apprenticeship Council and open to members of Gaeltacht communities with fluency in the Irish language.
