Steve Ó Cúláin, Chief Executive of Údarás na Gaeltachta, congratulated management and staff of Earagail Éisc Teo on winning the Seafood Exporter of the Year 2012 Award. Earagail Éisc Teo is an Údarás client company based in Mín an Aoire, Co. Donegal. The award was presented to the company at the Export Industry Awards ceremony which took place in Dublin at the weekend. The company currently employs 190 people.
The Chief Executive said, “This award acknowledges the significant progress made by Earagail Éisc in the development and growth of export markets in a very challenging economic climate. The company currently exports 100% of its products to countries throughout Europe and Asia. This award recognises the development and advancement made by Earagail Éisc Teo in its exporting business and the positive impact it has on Ireland’s economy and the area where the business is located. Údarás will continue to support the management of Earagail Éisc Teo in the successful development and growth of its business in the years ahead.”
The Export Industry Awards are organised by the Irish Exporters Association (IEA) to recognise the tremendous achievements of companies working in the industry who have helped the export-led recovery by boosting Ireland’s total exports of goods and services to an all-time high of €171 billion in the past year.
