New jobs for Cork Gaeltacht as DGP Intelsius Group Expands International Manufacturing and Distribution Division to Ballyvourney, Co. Cork

Intelsius, a global manufacturer and distributor of environmentally safe, temperature-controlled and regulatory-compliant packaging solutions, today( 17 May 2011) announced that it is to establish a new base in the Údarás na Gaeltachta Business Park in Ballyvourney, Co. Cork, with the initial creation of 11 new jobs. This new subsidiary, DGP Intelsius Teo, enables the Intelsius Group to meet the increasing demand for temperature control and sample transport packaging systems for the life science sector in this region.

John Lowery, CEO of Údarás na Gaeltachta, said that he was delighted that Údarás na Gaeltachta were able to facilitate and support DGP Intelsius Group Ltd’s expansion plans to Ireland and he welcomed the 11 new jobs that will be created in the area as a result. “The Intelsius group is at the forefront of product innovation and the company’s requirements from the beginning were clear – highly trained staff and suitable business accommodation for what is a specialised enterprise, and I’m delighted that an tÚdarás was in the position to provide such a facility in the Údarás Business Park in Ballyvourney.”

The company will begin recruiting immediately and will be providing its packing solutions to the lifescience’s sector from next month.
