The Education and Training Department at Údarás na Gaeltachta provide financial assistance for individuals or groups who live in the Gaeltacht and who are interested in courses which would enable them to enhance their skills or further their education. The amount of assistance available would depend on the type of course and on the applicant’s standard of Irish.
To date, assistance has been given to people who completed training courses in the following areas: child care, accounts technician, community development, driving heavy machinery and diving. Assistance may be given for a range of courses or for a course which has been chosen by you. Formal accreditation is necessary.
