Speaking in Rath Cairn today, after Minister Éamon Ó Cuív T.D. announced Glór na nGael’s decision to relocate their offices from Dublin to Ráth Chairn, Pádraig Ó hAoláin, Chief Executive of Údarás na Gaeltachta, said Ráth Chairn’s future as a Gaeltacht community depended largely on initiatives such as this rather than external investments.

“Údarás na Gaeltachta fully supports Comharchumann Ráth Chairn’s development strategy”, he said, “as it focuses on language-based services, Irish medium university centres and community services managed by the Comharchumann itself”.

Pádraig Ó hAoláin announced that an tÚdarás are currently preparing plans for substantial development of the Enterprise Centre in Ráth Chairn to accommodate Glór na nGael’s relocation and similar initiatives.
