Cindy O'Brien is a marine biologist from California with over 25 years of experience in aquaculture and an expert in the land-based aquaculture of abalone (haliotis discus hannai). Sinead O'Brien is a surprise seaweed enthusiast who teaches people about the textures, flavours and nutritious benefits of seaweed through the Mungo Murphy brand and farm tours. The Abalone aquaculture farm was built in Ros an Mhíl, Co. Galway in 2007 to farm and grow abalone, a marine gastropod mollusc. Later, the Mungo Murphy brand was established, adding seaweed products to the portfolio and developing food tours of the aquaculture farm and coastline.
