Skelligs Chocolate is a family run business founded in 1995, it started at their kitchen table with one chocolate wheel machine and a passion for chocolate making. In 2012 a state of the art production facility with a fully ‘open plan’ chocolate production facility was opened, creating a unique visitor experience that is free of charge. Skelligs Chocolate is a rare gem in a beautiful location, where it is recommending you try the deliciously rich ‘real chocolate’ hot chocolate in their seasonal café.

How did the Údarás help?
Údarás na Gaeltachta aided Skelligs Chocolate to grow and develop the business. The development undertaken by Skelligs Chocolate was to create a tradition and craft in the food industry in the local area and amongst the local people. And with the support of Údarás na Gaeltachta, chocolate will be exported abroad and sold in shops in America and Canada.
