Orwell & Browne
Orwell & Browne is an award winning Irish heritage brand creating luxurious handmade Donegal tweed products. Founder Catriona McGinley launched the company in late 2014. The craft of weaving tweed fabric has been a tradition in her family for the past three generations and with a love for textiles and design she has created a range of products using traditional materials but with a contemporary twist.
How did the Údarás help?
An incubation and enterprise centre located in the rural Gaeltacht area of South West Donegal is home to Orwell & Browne. The support from Údarás na Gaeltachta and the International Fund for Ireland secured the vital funding required to build, finish and promote the centre. The continued support is working for the benefit of sustaining & creating employment in the area by providing a wide range of business & enterprise supports to grow the business.
