Dearbháil is an accomplished professional with a proven track record in senior leadership roles across diverse industries. With over 25 years in strategic leadership she has extensive experience as a program manager, specializing in change management, mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, engineering, sales, operations, business development, regulatory affairs, and innovation.

 

Known for her strong leadership skills, Dearbháil has successfully led teams through complex organizational changes, demonstrating an ability to navigate challenges and drive results. Her analytical thinking and strategic planning have been instrumental in shaping effective business strategies and fostering continuous improvement across multiple teams and organisations. Adept at financial analysis, Dearbháil has consistently made informed decisions contributing to financial success across various functional areas.

 

Having worked across sectors including food, horticulture, agriculture, aquaculture, manufacturing, service industries, food safety quality management systems, and start-ups, Dearbháil possesses a versatile skill set. Her ability to adapt to different industries underscores a comprehensive understanding of sector-specific nuances and challenges. Recognized for their keen business acumen, Dearbháil has effectively driven business development initiatives, fostering growth and profitability. She has acted as a country representative on EU technical committees, and to working groups within the Irish and UK governments. In the regulatory landscape, Dearbháil has excelled in writing, and implementing EU regulations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the progression of various industries. Additionally, Dearbháil has actively engaged in influencing policy and regulatory developments to benefit the businesses they’ve been associated with.

 

She holds a PhD and H. Dip. in statistics and data analysis from University College Dublin, a H. Dip. in project management from The Institute of Project Management, strategic leadership and financial qualifications from the Irish Management Institute, amongst others. She is the primary and co-author of a large number of technical scientific papers, book chapters and peer reviewed papers.
