The LIFT (Logistics Integrated Flight Technology) project has received €3.8 million in funding from the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) to develop an innovative solution to enable logistics personnel to adopt drone delivery services at scale.

The project addresses a major issue that is hindering industry growth – a lack of scalable solutions in the monitoring of complex, high-quality material. Through the review of materials and production techniques, LIFT will focus on optimising drone use and providing a completely coherent solution that is focused solely on the requirements of logistics personnel.

Partners of the Project:

  • IONA Logistics Ltd
  • ÉireComposites Ltd
  • Technological University Dublin (TUD)

The project is based in various regional areas all over the country, Baile Átha Cliath, Gaillimh and an Clár  included, and it will enhance Ireland’s Research and Innovation Strategy in the field of Monitoring and Materials.

Dearbháil Ní Chualáin, director of Enterprise, Employment, Funding and Engineering at Údarás na Gaeltachta stated:

“ÉireComposites accomplishment sets a strong precedent for the type of innovation and leadership that is emerging across our Gaeltacht regions. This company is creating high-skilled jobs and contributing to the economic future in Gaeltacht areas. We are proud to support an enterprise of this caliber – one that prioritises Gaeltacht na Gaillimhe in the field of global innovation.”
