Údarás na Gaeltachta Supporting Salt Medical Ltd with €195,000 Employment Grant i mBaile Chláir na Gaillimhe

Údarás na Gaeltachta is pleased to announce that they have approved an employment grant of up to €195,000 for Salt Medical Ltd, a medical devices company located in Baile Chláir na Gaillimhe Corporate Park, County Galway. This investment will create ten new jobs in the medical technology sector in the Gaeltacht.

Salt Medical Ltd was established in 2023 as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) focused on providing diverse high-quality medical device solutions to clients in the healthcare industry nationally and internationally. The company is already operating from Unit 18 in Baile Chláir na Gaillimhe Corporate Park, a modern facility of 196 square meters which includes a Class 8 cleanroom and R&D laboratories.

Strategic Development

The grant will support the company’s ambitious development plan, including:

  • Creating an additional R&D laboratory with sophisticated equipment such as a 3D printer, laser welding machine and high-resolution microscope
  • Expanding the workforce from 10 employees to 20 employees over a three-year period
  • New positions in manufacturing engineering, design engineering, marketing and project management
