Údarás na Gaeltachta Seeking Regional Contractors in Various Sectors
Údarás na Gaeltachta is creating new opportunities for trained contractors to participate in regional multi-party framework agreements that will help local businesses in Gaeltacht areas.
The Údarás is seeking qualified contractors in four sectors:
- Mechanical works
- Electrical works
- Tree services
- Emergency works
The framework agreements will cover three regions:
- The South (Kerry, Cork, Waterford)
- The West (Galway, Mayo)
- The North (Donegal)
“One of the main objectives of this framework is to keep work within Gaeltacht communities,” said Cian Ó Donnchadha, Ceannasaí Maoine of Údarás na Gaeltachta. “These framework agreements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and contractors.”
The framework agreements are divided into lots for each identified work area, which provides opportunities for contractors of different sizes and specialisations across the Gaeltacht regions.
Information Evenings:
The Údarás will hold information evenings in person and online to explain the application process. Representatives from KSN and Údarás na Gaeltachta will be present to discuss the process and answer questions on the following dates:
- 8 September, 5 p.m.– gteic Béal Átha an Ghaorthaidh, gteic Uíbh Ráthach, gteic Chorca Dhuibhne, Kerry
- 8 September, 5 p.m.- gteic Ghaoth Dobhair, Donegal
- 15 September, 7 p.m. -Connemara Coast Hotel, Galway
