With a strong focus on practical language skills and confident everyday communication, the programme welcomes learners at all levels:
Level 2 (A1) Complete beginners
Level 3 (A2) Those with some basic Irish
Level 4 (B1) Those who studied Irish at school
Level 5 (B2) Those comfortable holding occasional Irish conversations
Level 6 (C1) Advanced speakers looking to further develop their skills
Participants who wish to take their learning further can also avail of an additional support scheme provided by Údarás na Gaeltachta to help them achieve the prestigious Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG) qualification.
Rónán Mac Con Iomaire, Director of Regional, Community & Language Development at Údarás na Gaeltachta, welcomed the initiative:
“We are delighted to announce this new partnership with MSLETB and Gaelchultúr. It reflects our commitment to empowering employees across the Gaeltacht to strengthen their Irish in the workplace. We firmly believe this programme will have a lasting, positive impact on the use of Irish in the communities where our employees work and live and we encourage anyone interested to get involved.”
