Larkin Engineering Explores New Business Opportunity in An Spidéal

Údarás na Gaeltachta has received permission to allow Larkin Engineering to conduct preliminary work at the former Innill Dóiteáin Teoranta site in An Spidéal, which entered liquidation earlier this year. The Tuam-based engineering firm has been working at the location for several weeks and has submitted a business plan to the Údarás proposing a new engineering operation that could create jobs to replace those that were lost.

Noreen Breathnach of Údarás na Gaeltachta’s Enterprise and Employment Division expressed optimism about the proposal: “We have complete confidence in Larkin Engineering’s experience and commitment, and we look forward to working with them to develop and strengthen this business in the years ahead.”

During the liquidation of Innill Dóiteáin Teoranta, Larkin Engineering successfully acquired a significant portion of the company’s machinery and assets at public auction.
