Grant to longstanding Galway company Divilly’s Ltd.

Údarás na Gaeltachta to support employment and sustainability in the Gaeltacht’s meat industry

Údarás na Gaeltachta announced today that it is awarding Divilly’s Ltd €174,500 in funding to promote sustainable development and bring innovative products to market. The comprehensive support package includes a Key Manager grant, Green Start Grant, Green Plus grant, and a Capital grant for machinery.

This funding will help Divilly’s implement their sustainability programme from 2025-2028, supporting strategic initiatives focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, and strengthening their management capabilities.

Divilly’s aim to add to the company’s competitiveness by improved management of resources, ongoing betterment and leadership development within the business.

Divilly’s Ltd was founded in 1927 and has been based in Carnmore since 2003. It is an extremely important employer in the area succeeding in an evergrowing industry. As of now, 49 people are employed by the company with hopes to expand to a team of 77 by 2027.

Divilly’s Ltd. has a clear ambition of broadening its business and bringing innovative products to the shelves. This comes in line completely with both national and European strategies that focus on innovation, climate sustainability and responsible growth in the food industry.

The proposed investment by Údarás na Gaeltachta will add to the already strong base of knowledge and management under the development of the company, while supporting strategic decision making for the future.
