Six Gaeltacht companies along with representatives from Údarás na Gaeltachta are taking part in a trade mission to Philadelphia from 20 – 22 November on invitation from the Irish-American Business Chamber Network (IABCN). The Gaeltacht companies are taking the opportunity to promote their businesses at an event organised by Údarás na Gaeltachta, the IABCN and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The invitation by the Irish-American Business Chamber Network to Údarás na Gaeltachta and its client companies to Philadelphia provides the Gaeltacht companies with an opportunity to explore new export markets in America. The Údarás client companies visiting Philadelphia are Firebird Teo and Folláin Teo from Co. Cork; Selc Teo, Co. Mayo; CréVinn Teo and CLS Teo, Co. Galway and Oileán Glas Teo., Co. Donegal.

Steve Ó Cúláin, Údarás na Gaeltachta Chief Executive said “This trade mission is an excellent opportunity to promote the Gaeltacht as a location for enterprise to the business community in Philadelphia. It also presents an excellent opportunity to Gaeltacht companies to establish new contacts in America aimed at expanding their export markets. The event will allow Údarás na Gaeltachta to enhance its partnership with Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland and ascertain further enterprise development and employment creation opportunities for the Gaeltacht.”
