Údarás na Gaeltachta announces that a €122,000 support package has been approved for Origin Valley Pet Nutrition (OVPN) Unlimited Company , located in the Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht, Co. Meath. This support comes from five different schemes: Strategic Consultancy Grant, Training Grant under the GradStart Scheme, Capital Grant, and Grant for the Digital Access Scheme.

This financial support is aimed at helping the company preserve and strengthen its pet food manufacturing project in the heart of the Gaeltacht. The funding will be implemented through employing a technical consultant, investing in modern equipment, employing a young person under the GradStart scheme, and implementing a comprehensive digital strategy.

The company currently employs 19 full-time staff, and it is planned to employ 5 additional people between 2025-2027. These figures demonstrate the positive impact the project has on local employment in the Gaeltacht.

Speaking about the support, Niall O’Brien Managing Director of Origin Valley Pet Nutrition said: “Since commencing operations in 2022, Noreen Breathnach and Údarás Na Gaeltachta have provided valuable support of which we are very grateful.
