Údarás na Gaeltachta welcomes Minister Catherine Martin agus Minister for State Patrick O’ Donovan’s announcement of the appointment of new board members to Údarás na Gaeltachta

Údarás na Gaeltachta has welcomed the announcement by the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media, Catherine Martin, T.D. and the Minister for State Patrick O’ Donovan, that new members have been appointed to the board of Údarás na Gaeltachta.

Údarás na Gaeltachta Chief Executive, Tomás Ó Síocháin siad:

“We are delighted that Údarás na Gaeltachta will once again have a full board, enabling Údarás na Gaeltachta to best serve the Gaeltacht community. We are grateful to the current members, who have done an excellent job since the conclusion of the previous board’s term at the beginning of the year. Having a full complement of board members will be of great assistance to Údarás na Gaeltachta in achieving our goals, in partnership with the Department of the Gaeltacht and others, for the benefit of the Irish language and the Gaeltacht community.”

 

The chairperson of Údarás na Gaeltachta, Mary Uí Chadhain, expressed her satisfaction with the announcement:

“I welcome the announcement that Minister Catherine Martin agus Minister Patrick O’ Donovan have nominated new members to the board of Údarás na Gaeltachta. I am happy that a full board will be operating once more, and that the Gaeltacht community can be served in the most effective manner possible. I thank the current members for their dedication and enthusiasm over the past few months and I look forward to working with the newly-appointed members. Together, we will drive forward with ambition, for the development of the Gaeltacht and the strengthening of the Irish language.”
