A meeting of the Board of Údarás na Gaeltachta was held in Na Forbacha today (26 February). The following projects were approved for assistance:
Óige na Gaeltachta Teo.
A provision of €300,000 was approved for Óige na Gaeltachta Teo for 2010. Óige na Gaeltachta Teo provides support, development, monitoring and insurance services for clubs, community groups and other youth organisations.
In addition, a provision of €80,000 was approved for five drop-in centres operating in An Cheathrú Rua, Doirí Beaga, An Daingean, Ráth Chairn and An tSeanphobal (€16,275 each).
Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta Teo.
A provision of €785,000 was approved for Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta Teo to assist the company in the management and administration of it’s 76 naíonraí throughout the Gaeltacht.
