At an Údarás na Gaeltachta Board meeting held in Dún Chaoin, Co. Kerry yesterday (Thursday 28 June 2007) the following projects were approved.
Óstán Árann, Árainn, Co. Galway
Assistance was approved for Inis Mór Partnership for the development of additional accommodation and a rest centre at Óstán Árann, Cill Rónáin, Árainn, Co. Galway.
Fuinseog Teo., Indreabhán, Co. Galway
Assistance was approved for Fuinseog Teo. for the development of a strategic marketing plan with the objective of boosting the companies business.
Sigma Teo., Indreabhán, Co. Galway
Assistance was approved for Sigma Teo for the development of new products and for the establishment of an expertise centre.
An Spidéal Nursing Home, An Spidéal, Co. Galway
A capital grant was approved for Aidan and Henrietta Mc Grath for the development of a new nursing home in An Spidéal. The existing building will be demolished.
Arramara Teo, Cill Chiaráin, Co. Galway
Capital, research and development grants were approved for Arramara Teo to obtain specialised knowledge relating to the provision of additional products for the company and to purchase new machinery which will enhance productivity.
Cniotáil Inis Meáin Teo
Marketing assistance was approved for Cniotáil Inis Meáin Teo to help them locate new markets.
Lampaí an Daingin Teo., An Daingean, Co. Kerry
A training grant was approved for Lampaí an Daingin Teo to improve the companies competitiveness and develop good business practice.
Unit 1 C, Baile na Finne, Co. Donegal
A capital provision of €195,000 was approved for the conversion of Unit 1C Baile na Finne in order for it to be suitable for a new project locating there shortly.
Factory 24, Páirc Gnó Ghaoth Dobhair, Co. Donegal
A capital provision of €960,000 was approved for the conversion of Factory 24 (ex RMT) in order for it to be suitable for new projects.
Link Road, Mín an Iolair, Co. Donegal
It was agreed to contribute €6,100 to Donegal County Council under the “Local Improvement” scheme to assist them in upgrading the link road between Mín an Iolair and Carraig an tSeascain. This road is used by many people travelling to the Gaoth Dobhair business park.
Carna Business Centre, Carna, Co. Galway
A provision of €1.76 million was approved for the development of a multifunctional Business Development Centre on the industrial estate in Carna. Planning permission has already been granted for the development of office space on the site. There will be seven units included in the building in addition to central services.
Carna Estate, Carna, Co. Galway
A capital provision of €417,600 was approved for road works and site development on the Údarás industrial estate in Carna to build a crèche.
