Ráth Chairn agus Baile Ghib

The story behind the Gaeltacht in county Meath is quite different from the rest. The communities of Ráth Chairn and Baile Ghib are groups of people and families that relocated to Meath in the 1930’s from other Gaeltacht areas around the country.

According to the 2016 Census figures, 1,857 people live in this LPT and 15.9% of the LPT population speak Irish every day outside the education system.
