Clioch Cheann Fhaola is located in north-west Donegal, between an Earagail, an Eachla Mhór and an Mhucais on the southern border, and the Atlantic Ocean to the north. This Gaeltacht Language Planning Area (LPT) has a population of 4,042, with 39.6% (3 years of age and older) speaking Irish everyday outside of the education system.
The Lead Organisation that deals with this LPT is made up of three organisations: An tSeanBheairic, Pobal Eascarrach CTR. and Coiste Paróiste Ghort a’ Choirce. Representatives from these organisations, along with representatives from community-based groups were chosen as members of the steering committee Pleanáil Teanga Chloich Cheann Fhaola (PTCCF).
