€45,000 fund approved to promote Social Enterprise in the Gaeltacht

Údarás na Gaeltachta welcomes a €45,000 fund approved by the Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphreys TD for the organisation under the ARISE scheme to increase awareness in relation to social enterprise.

Funding was approved for the Community Development Unit in Údarás na Gaeltachta to provide information concerning developments in the social enterprise sector in the Gaeltacht which will see the development of a website to serve as a resource and central information point for the social enterprise sector.

In addition, various themes will be covered during a five week-long campaigns to be held during 2022 which will encompass information, videos and online seminars focusing on the areas of social enterprise growth in the Gaeltacht.  For example, themes such as the Green Economy, Digital Economy, Language and Culture and Social-Type Services will be covered in these campaigns.

The project will commence early in the New Year.
