De Róiste Foods was founded in March 2012 by Jimmy and Máire Allen after they experienced great success in their Butcher and Grocery Shop in Baile Bhuirne, Co. Cork. They began producing black and white pudding in 2012 and unlike most black puddings, which are made with dried (usually imported) blood, the De Roiste family make their product in the traditional way with fresh blood. They now supply to over 170 Supervalu Stores, 70+ Centras, 50+ Dunnes Stores and Pallas Foods outlets.
