Mervyn Kennedy, director of the Kennedy Bacon, has been pig farming all his life. Kennedy Bacon is a small family run company producing dry cured bacon, roasts and gammons. Their aim is to produce high-quality lower price bacon for people to enjoy. More recently the company started to cook the products in a factory on the pier in Machaire Rabhartaigh. The bacon is all hand cured and no water is injected during the process.
