"Údarás na Gaeltachta will continue to work diligently to promote enterprise and attract employment to the Gaeltacht and have already commenced preparing plans to replace the employment that is to transition from Páirc Ghnó na Tulaí in the Gaeltacht as a result of this decision.”
Mícheál Ó hÉanaigh, Chief Executive Officer of Údarás na Gaeltachta
Over the last year, Údarás na Gaeltachta and the company have been in constant communication and discussion to provide appropriate expansion options to the company in order to locate their new facility and personnel at Páirc Ghnó na Tulaí in Baile na hAbhann and to strengthen the existing jobs at Páirc Ghnó na Tulaí. Údarás developed a considerable support package for the company including the completion of the design of a new building and confirmation that Údarás would be happy to make the appropriate investment to locate the expansion project on Páirc Ghnó na Tulaí.
Mícheál Ó hÉanaigh, Chief Executive Officer of Údarás na Gaeltachta stated ‘We have had a long and fruitful relationship with HID Global Ireland Teo., and Aontec Teo. previously, providing significant employment in the Conamara Gaeltacht for nearly twenty years.
Although the company’s decision not to avail of the opportunities offered to it by the Údarás in the Conamara Gaeltacht is a source of disappointment, Údarás na Gaeltachta will continue to work diligently to promote enterprise and attract employment to the Gaeltacht and have already commenced preparing plans to replace the employment that is to transition from Páirc Ghnó na Tulaí in the Gaeltacht as a result of this decision.”
