Maigh Cuilinn Youth Club unveil a new mural
There is a lot of talk in Maigh Cuilinn at the moment about the unveiling of a beautiful mural in the town at the beginning of September 2021. During the summer, teenagers from the area came together to work, in collaboration with local artist Eglete Lydon, on a beautiful, bright, positive mural that would lift the heart of the community during the challenging period of the pandemic.
The insects and plants in the mural are widely seen in the woods and mountains around the town and include the Shore Bridge, a beautiful bridge that is an important part of Maigh Cuilinn’s history.
The Youth Club and Eglete Lydon are very grateful for the support they received from Maigh Cuilinn Gaeilge, Maigh Cuilinn Tidy Towns Committee and the parents of the teenagers in carrying out this work.
